What you will do

• Define and build enterprise-scale data discovery, inventory, catalog, and metadata management capabilities.
• Architect scalable search, indexing, semantic retrieval, vector search, and relevance-ranking systems.
• Develop metadata models, business glossaries, taxonomies, ontologies, lineage frameworks, and knowledge graphs.
• Integrate governance, ownership, compliance, data quality, trust scoring, certification, and usage analytics into catalog experiences.
• Build AI-powered discovery, metadata enrichment, retrieval, recommendation, and agentic workflow capabilities.
• Lead architecture decisions, technical standards, cross-functional strategy, and mentorship across engineering and data platform organizations.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience building large-scale data platforms, metadata systems, search platforms, or knowledge management technologies.
• 5+ years leading architecture and implementation of enterprise data catalog, metadata management, or data discovery platforms.
• Experience inventorying and indexing thousands to millions of enterprise data assets.
• Strong expertise in metadata ingestion and modeling, lineage, governance, data asset management, distributed systems, and platform engineering.
• Experience building highly available, cloud-scale production systems and expertise with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with data catalog platforms, enterprise search technologies, data platforms, knowledge graphs, AI, RAG, and semantic retrieval.
