Senior Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; office attendance three times a week

What you will do

• Design and review AWS and Kubernetes security architecture, including account structures, network segmentation, workload identity, and secure-by-default patterns.
• Build remediation at the Terraform module and infrastructure-pattern level instead of handling isolated findings.
• Harden Kubernetes through pod security, service mesh and network policies, secrets management, and software supply-chain controls.
• Develop policy-as-code and infrastructure-as-code scanning that blocks risky patterns in CI.
• Write Go or Python code and ship it through standard engineering CI/CD workflows.
• Serve as the technical voice for cloud and infrastructure security in Amsterdam and collaborate with the US-based cloud security team.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or platform security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in at least one compiled language, such as Go, and one scripting language, such as Python.
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools and a GitOps delivery model.
• Working knowledge of IAM and least-privilege design across cloud and container environments.
• Ability to work from Amsterdam with office attendance three times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security posture management tools such as Wiz, Orca, or Prisma.
• Software supply-chain security experience, including SLSA, artifact signing, or provenance.
• Familiarity with EU data residency and cross-border data handling.
• Multi-cloud experience.
