TL;DR
Technical Configuration Specialist (Fintech): Configuring, testing, and troubleshooting merchant production accounts and payment gateway settings with an accent on payment methods, banking information, currencies, API payloads, and regulatory requirements. Focus on validating transaction flows, resolving production incidents, analyzing REST and SOAP integrations, and supporting merchant onboarding and account changes.
Location: Bogotá, Colombia; hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Configure, maintain, test, and troubleshoot merchant production accounts and payment gateway settings.
- Set up merchant profiles, payment methods, acquiring banks, currencies, MCC codes, terminals, and alternative payment methods.
- Manage account modifications, sub-accounts, profile updates, and account closures.
- Investigate configuration issues and transaction-related incidents by analyzing API requests and responses.
- Support merchant onboarding and production changes while collaborating with Operations, Product, Development, Integration, Risk, and Support teams.
- Maintain documentation and operational procedures for merchant configurations and payment processing.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of payment gateway operations, merchant onboarding, transaction lifecycles, settlements, refunds, payment routing, 3DS, and fraud prevention configurations.
- Experience with Postman, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, API authentication, and technical documentation.
- Strong MySQL skills, including querying, joins, data validation, and troubleshooting configuration records.
- Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and data analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, reconciliation, and advanced formulas.
- English written and spoken proficiency is required for collaboration with geographically distributed colleagues, clients, and suppliers. Basic to intermediate HTML and the ability to read JSON and XML payloads are also required.

- Experience in fintech, payment processing, e-commerce, or merchant acquiring.
- Experience with payment integrations and troubleshooting transaction flows.
