Biologics Operations Specialist Intern (Biopharma)

Location: Waterford, Ireland; full-time, on-site. Start date: January 2027. Internship duration: 6–8 months.

What you will do

• Support sterile manufacturing activities, including formulation and filling of monoclonal antibody medicines.
• Apply cleanroom procedures, contamination control practices, and environmental monitoring requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, operational excellence, efficiency, and cost-improvement projects.
• Collect, analyze, and present manufacturing data and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
• Support investigations, corrective actions, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a regulated manufacturing environment.
