Software Engineer - Unannounced Project (Unreal Engine)

Location: London, UK; hybrid work with 2 days per week in the London office and the remaining days from home

What you will do

• Design and develop gameplay, meta, and core technology features in Unreal Engine 5.
• Build tools for engineers and content creators.
• Define and scope tasks, features, and systems.
• Own features end-to-end across multiple technical domains.
• Triage and resolve bugs while collaborating with design and backend teams.

Requirements

• Previous software engineering experience in the game industry using Unreal Engine.
• Demonstrated proficiency in C++.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of version control workflows, including GitHub, Perforce/Helix Core, Git-flow, and branch management.
• Good communication skills and comfort working collaboratively across domains.

Nice to have

• Mobile game development experience.
• Performance profiling and optimization experience.
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or later.
