Software Engineer - Unannounced Project (Unreal Engine)

Location: London, UK; hybrid work with 2 days per week in the London office and the remaining days from home

What you will do

• Design and develop gameplay features and game functionality in Unreal Engine 5.
• Build tools for engineers and content creators.
• Work across gameplay, meta systems, and core technology.
• Define and scope tasks and technical systems.
• Triage and resolve bugs while owning features end to end.

Requirements

• Previous software engineering experience in the game industry using Unreal Engine.
• Proficiency in C++.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software methodologies.
• Working knowledge of version control systems and workflows, including GitHub, Perforce/Helix Core, Git-flow, and branch management.
• Good communication skills and comfort working collaboratively with design and backend teams.

Nice to have

• Mobile game development experience.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization.
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or later.
