System Safety Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead and oversee System Safety Assessment activities for military aircraft systems across development phases.
• Identify, classify, and mitigate potential failure conditions through systematic safety and common-cause analyses.
• Define and manage system safety requirements, including requirements at interfaces between interacting systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance, structures, quality, and other technical domains.
• Support certification by preparing technical evidence, defending safety arguments, and performing continuous airworthiness risk analyses.
• Review and approve supplier safety and reliability data.

Requirements

• Degree or strong technical background in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems and complex technical architectures.
• Experience with System Engineering and interfaces involving safety assessment, airworthiness, or certification.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex, non-routine technical problems.
• Security clearance is required, or eligibility for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with specialized safety tools such as Isograph FaultTree+.
