TL;DR
Technical Designer (Sewing Pattern Making): Developing production-ready sewing patterns and graded size ranges for garments across a supplier network with an accent on fit, construction, measurements, and fabric-specific pattern development. Focus on reviewing samples, resolving pattern and production issues, maintaining technical documentation, and coordinating asynchronously with overseas manufacturers.

Location: Remote, Philippines-based hiring only; preference for candidates living in or near Quezon City. Permanent work from home with working hours from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM Philippine Time, Monday to Friday.

Salary: Starting at $1,000 base per month, depending on experience.

hirify.global is an NYC-based custom apparel company building and scaling a supplier ecosystem for garment production.

What you will do

  • Develop accurate, production-ready sewing patterns from technical specifications, measurements, design references, technical drawings, and approved samples.
  • Create and maintain pattern grading across required size ranges and adjust patterns based on fitting results.
  • Apply fabric knowledge across woven, knit, stretch, lace, and elastic materials to support fit and construction.
  • Collaborate with internal Design and Ops teams and overseas manufacturers to resolve pattern, sewing, fit, and construction issues.
  • Maintain pattern files, revisions, measurements, and technical documentation, and share digital pattern files with manufacturing partners.
  • Improve pattern development, sampling, and production processes while managing independent projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of garment pattern-making experience, preferably in apparel manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fitting, measurements, grading, and pattern development.
  • Proficiency with CAD pattern-making software such as Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, Optitex, or similar systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical packs, measurement specifications, construction details, sketches, and approved samples.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, reliable internet, and a suitable work-from-home setup are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with women’s streetwear apparel.
  • Experience with apparel sampling and fitting.
  • Familiarity with 3D apparel software such as CLO3D or Browzwear.
