Senior Lecturer (Level C) / Associate Professor (Level D) Nursing (Higher Education and Nursing Research): Teaching and leading undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs while conducting impactful research and supervising nursing students with an accent on curriculum innovation, healthcare outcomes, and academic leadership. Focus on securing competitive research funding, building healthcare and industry partnerships, and mentoring the next generation of nursing scholars.
Location: Gold Coast, Southport, Queensland, Australia; the position may require work across other university locations.
Salary: Senior Lecturer (Level C) AUD 143,418–165,374 base salary per year plus 17% superannuation; Associate Professor (Level D) AUD 172,686–190,248 base salary per year plus 17% superannuation.

What you will do
- Teach and convene undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses.
- Design engaging, evidence-based learning experiences for contemporary healthcare practice.
- Conduct and lead high-impact nursing research that improves healthcare policy, practice, and outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor Honours, Higher Degree Research, and postgraduate students.
- Coordinate programs and provide academic leadership, curriculum innovation, and quality enhancement.
- Build partnerships with healthcare, industry, professional, academic, and community organisations.
Requirements
- PhD in Nursing or a related discipline.
- Unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) is required.
- Research track record, high-quality publications, competitive research funding, and commitment to teaching excellence.
- Experience with course coordination, curriculum development, and higher education teaching.
- For Associate Professor: established national or international research impact, successful supervision of HDR candidates, and strong academic leadership experience.
- Desirable nursing expertise includes nurse prescribing, infection prevention and control, mental health, or aged care.
