Senior Software Engineer (Security, Go/Rust)

Salary: $139,200–$235,200 USD base salary per year for United States residents

What you will do

• Own security engineering initiatives from design through delivery with minimal guidance.
• Design and ship hybrid analyzers that combine deterministic analysis with AI-driven reasoning, including CWE-mapped detection rules and benchmark evaluation fixtures.
• Build evaluation harnesses to measure false positives, missed findings, and the reliability of vulnerability detection.
• Package analyzers for CI jobs, AI agent workflows, and command-line tools using hirify.global security report formats.
• Develop manifest, lockfile, and SBOM parsing across dependency ecosystems and extend automated dependency remediation services.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate with Product Management and partner engineering teams, improve quality and performance, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Experience building LLM tooling such as harnesses, agent pipelines, or evaluation systems.
• Substantial professional experience writing and testing production code in Go and/or Rust, with depth in at least one systems language.
• Experience with package managers and dependency management, such as npm, Maven, pip, Bundler, or Cargo.
• Application security experience, including vulnerability research, secure code review, detection rules, OWASP Top 10, CWE, or software supply chain security.
• Ability to own ambiguous problems, work effectively in a remote asynchronous environment, communicate clearly, and write design proposals.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating AI-driven detection against labeled data.
• Performance optimization at scale and program analysis, including parsing, ASTs, or data-flow analysis.
• Familiarity with web or mobile application frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, containerized workflows, and CI/CD.
