Government Affairs Intern (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Monitor federal, state, and local legislation related to AI, data centers, energy, and economic development.
• Research government agencies, economic development organizations, elected officials, and community partners.
• Prepare policy summaries, stakeholder profiles, meeting materials, and presentations.
• Research prospective markets, local government structures, economic development opportunities, and community priorities.
• Maintain stakeholder databases, legislative trackers, and department project updates.
• Participate in government meetings, industry events, and community engagements when opportunities arise.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Communications, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Interest in government, public policy, technology and infrastructure, economic development, or community engagement.
• Strong research, communication, organizational, and information-management skills.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and willingness to learn research and tracking tools.
• Curious, proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
