Associate, Legal (Infrastructure)

Location: New York or San Francisco, United States; US-based role supporting US data centre campuses.

Nscale is building a vertically integrated GenAI cloud platform covering data centres, software, and applications for the AI stack.

What you will do

• Draft and revise construction, design, consultancy, equipment supply, work order, amendment, and change order agreements.
• Review counterparty markups, identify deviations from standard positions, prepare issue lists, and propose responses.
• Maintain infrastructure contract templates, playbooks, negotiation positions, and contract records.
• Support contract administration, including notices, change orders, payment and holdback issues, warranty claims, and project closeout.
• Support real estate and power matters, including site acquisition and lease diligence, utility, interconnection, and power purchase documentation.
• Coordinate insurance, bonding, vendor compliance, outside counsel, budgets, and invoice review.

Requirements

• Qualified attorney admitted in at least one US state and in good standing.
• 2–5 years of construction, real estate, commercial, or infrastructure legal experience in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams at pace.
• Curiosity and a strong sense of ownership.
