Factory Operations Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 per year in base compensation, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own daily factory execution against production schedules, output, quality, and delivery commitments.
• Lead Factory Supervisors and coordinate technician staffing, shift coverage, work assignments, overtime, and labor allocation.
• Translate master production schedules and released work orders into executable floor priorities.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Production Control, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Maintain safety, organization, material control, tooling, 5S, workmanship, inspection, and production-record standards.
• Track throughput, schedule attainment, labor utilization, WIP aging, quality, yield, and rework while supporting production ramp-up and new production lines.

Requirements

• 7+ years of manufacturing or production operations experience, including 3+ years leading frontline production teams or supervisors.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, automotive, industrial equipment, or another complex hardware manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing assembly, integration, testing, production scheduling, WIP, capacity, labor planning, and constraint resolution.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and manufacturing execution systems.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, configuration control, nonconformance processes, and production documentation.
• Strong floor presence, accountability, leadership development, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling prototype or low-rate production into repeatable higher-volume manufacturing.
• Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001-aligned production environments.
• Experience with electromechanical assembly, electronics integration, system-level testing, or RF hardware.
• Experience establishing new production lines, shifts, or manufacturing facilities.
