Rust Backend Engineer (Solana)

Location: Remote across Canada, the United States, and South America; Europe considered. Vancouver preferred.

Salary: CAD $135,000–$170,000 base depending on experience. The posting also states USD $120k–CAD $170k.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve core data pipelines and trading infrastructure for live and historical on-chain data.
• Deploy and manage AI-driven trading bots in production.
• Work across liquidity systems, the price engine, and Solana pool integrations.
• Reduce latency across gRPC and WebSocket services.
• Design and tune database schemas for high-volume, real-time data.
• Use AI tooling as a core part of building and shipping software.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with Rust.
• Hands-on Solana experience through professional work or personal projects.
• Experience with gRPC and WebSockets.
• Solid database schema design and performance-tuning skills.
• Comfort using AI tools day to day and demonstrating how they are applied.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse.
• Trading, DEX, or market data infrastructure experience.
• Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems.
