Customs Operation Agent

Location: Onsite in San Isidro, Lima, Peru

What you will do

• Coordinate cargo routing, dispatch instructions, and shipment milestones for import and export operations.
• Process delivery orders, port release documents, Bills of Lading, endorsements, and carrier approvals.
• Manage Gate In operations, cargo pickup appointments, empty container returns, and terminal requirements.
• Coordinate trucking companies, warehouses, ports, terminals, shipping lines, and other transportation providers.
• Submit payment requests and complete invoice regularization and reconciliation within 48 hours.
• Maintain shipment records, update internal systems, and resolve operational issues affecting service delivery.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in customs operations, freight forwarding, logistics, or port operations.
• Knowledge of customs clearance, shipping documentation, and import/export procedures.
• Experience coordinating with shipping lines, ports, warehouses, and transportation providers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
