Software Engineer (C++/Embedded)

Location: Cavriago, Robassomero, Bolzano, or Torino, Italy; ongoing activities in the Marche region are required for at least 12 months

Indicative starting compensation: €39,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, test, maintain, and evolve software solutions.
• Develop embedded software in C/C++ and optimize algorithms, signal processing, digital filters, and system performance.
• Build frontend solutions with Qt/QML and JavaScript, integrating user interfaces with backend systems, REST APIs, and databases.
• Work with Embedded Linux, communication buses, and protocols including Modbus, I2C, UART, and SPI.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink for algorithm development, simulation, and validation before porting to target systems.
• Debug, profile, document, troubleshoot, and support software integration and change management.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of standard C++, object-oriented programming, multithreading, and synchronization.
• Experience with relational and real-time databases, SQL, Python, Java, PHP, Node, and backend frameworks.
• Knowledge of Git/CVS version control, debugging, profiling, and structured software change management.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, for a technical environment.
• Availability for ongoing activities in the Marche region for a minimum of 12 months and occasional business travel.
