VP, Programming, NBC News Now

Location: New York, NY; full-time on-site work at an hirify.global-designated worksite is required

Salary: $215,000–$280,000 per year, plus bonus and long-term incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day editorial programming and execute the editorial strategy for NBC News NOW.
• Set programming priorities and coordinate breaking-news, major-story, and live rolling coverage.
• Oversee executive producers and ensure consistent editorial quality, storytelling, and brand standards across the service.
• Coordinate with newsgathering, show teams, specials, creative, production, and operations teams.
• Manage futures planning, staffing schedules, control-room needs, graphics, and other production requirements.
• Drive operational excellence, manage programming resources and budgets, and support an inclusive newsroom culture.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience at a national news organization.
• 15+ years leading significant editorial programming, or 5+ years executive producing live breaking-news content as a proven control-room leader.
• Deep editorial judgment and experience managing investigative, sensitive, complicated, or nuanced reporting.
• At least 5 years managing teams and collaborating with executive producers, correspondents, and anchors.
• Strong financial acumen, programming-budget management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to work full-time on-site in New York and maintain flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and major breaking-news events.
