Materials Specialist I/II/III (HVAC Manufacturing)

Location: Schofield, Wisconsin, United States; work is performed in an office environment with occasional in-person meetings and office tasks.

Base pay: $69,581–$117,552 annually.

What you will do

• Coordinate with scheduling, purchasing, production supervision, and manufacturing personnel to resolve material issues affecting customer delivery and production schedules.
• Monitor plant inventory, safety stocks, excess and obsolete inventory, inventory receipts, cycle counts, and physical storage activities.
• Support product development and shop-floor implementation by defining process flows, routings, replenishment policies, capacity plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate engineering and item change notices across planners, engineers, buyers, bill-of-materials teams, and business units.
• Lead or support inventory reduction, process improvement, master-data, year-end close, and inventory-count activities.
• Train personnel, maintain inventory accuracy, support safety and labor-cost objectives, and potentially supervise hourly inventory-control team members.

Requirements

• Materials Specialist I: 2–4 years of relevant materials or inventory management experience.
• Materials Specialist II: 4–6 years of relevant materials or inventory management experience.
• Materials Specialist III: 6–8 years of relevant materials or inventory management experience.
• A two-year associate degree in supply chain, operations management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• APICS certification.
• For Specialist III, SAP experience or training is required; a four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred for Specialists II and III.
