Location: LA, West Monroe, United States; in-person reporting, filming, interviews, and attendance at news and community events are required.

What you will do

• Report and produce news stories for broadcast, websites, social media, and other platforms.
• Research events, public records, and background information to develop complete and accurate stories.
• Arrange and conduct interviews, gather information at events, and pitch relevant local story ideas.
• Shoot, write, voice, edit, and revise news content to meet editorial standards and time requirements.
• Present reports on air and interact with viewers and users on social media.
• Collaborate with producers and news managers to establish priorities and refine story coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ad-lib when required.
• At least two years of news reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Strong on-air presence and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift.
