Advanced Software Engineer (.NET) (Azure)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid

Salary: 160,000–240,000 PLN annually, plus performance bonus and long-term incentives

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services for unstructured storage in hirify.globalOne using C#/.NET.
• Implement Azure-based storage solutions with Blob Storage and Cosmos DB, including lifecycle policies, multi-tenant isolation, access controls, and cost optimization.
• Design service-to-service communication using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, contract versioning, streaming, deadlines, retries, and REST APIs.
• Lead technical design reviews, document architectural decisions, and promote cloud-native storage patterns.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve observability and automation, and participate in on-call and incident response activities.
• Collaborate with product engineering, SRE, and security teams while contributing to the storage platform roadmap.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend services, distributed systems, or data and platform engineering.
• Strong C#/.NET Core development skills.
• Hands-on experience designing cloud-native storage solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP; Azure experience is preferred.
• Understanding of distributed storage fundamentals, partitioning, consistency models, data access patterns, and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and deploying production services.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Scrum or Kanban is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, gRPC, and distributed service communication.
• Experience with multi-tenant platforms, storage lifecycle management, and access control models.
• Familiarity with observability, operational excellence, incident response, and large-scale storage optimization.
