Applied Scientist (Computer Vision)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end development of computer vision and machine learning solutions, from problem framing and data exploration through modeling and evaluation.
• Develop approaches using 3D computer vision and generative AI with image and video data.
• Design and analyze experiments that measure the impact of model-driven product features.
• Build, validate, and maintain reliable, reproducible data pipelines, features, and model artifacts.
• Monitor production model and data quality, investigate performance issues, and improve accuracy, fairness, and stability.
• Communicate technical findings and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders while sharing reusable components and mentoring colleagues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, data science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience applying computer vision, statistical analysis, or machine learning to real-world data problems.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets using Python and common data and machine learning libraries.
• Experience with PyTorch, SciPy/NumPy, and Transformers.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to deliver analytical or model-based solutions.
• Must be based in Germany for this remote role.
