Tech Lead (AI)

Location: Remote from Poland; work strictly on New York time (EST/EDT)

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap across the PHP core, billing, ERP, client area, mobile app, and People platform.
• Review every pull request before merge and maintain standards for logic, data safety, security, and code quality.
• Design and maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL database architecture, including data modelling, migrations, and query optimization.
• Own Docker images, deployments, environments, and production incident response.
• Drive AI-assisted development by creating agent instructions, prompts, and review rules for AI-generated code.
• Translate product requirements into technical tasks while mentoring backend, frontend, and mobile developers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience and 2+ years of team leadership experience.
• Expertise in PHP 8 and the ability to work across TypeScript with Vue/Nuxt and React/Next.js, as well as Flutter.
• Strong database architecture skills with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Production experience with Docker, REST API integrations, and Stripe or a similar payment provider.
• Daily use of AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including experience writing agent instructions for a team.
• Native Russian, fluent English, and availability to work strictly on EST/EDT hours.

• Hands-on ProcessWire development.

• CapRover, another Docker PaaS, or CI/CD setup experience.
