Tech Lead (PHP/Vue/Nuxt)

Location: Remote from Montenegro, strictly on New York time (EST/EDT)

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap across the PHP core, billing, ERP, client area, mobile app, and People platform.
• Review every pull request before merge and maintain standards for logic, data safety, and security.
• Design and maintain database architecture across MySQL and PostgreSQL, including data modelling, migrations, and query optimization.
• Own Docker images, deployments, and production environments.
• Drive AI-assisted development by creating agent instructions, prompts, and review rules for generated code.
• Translate product requirements into technical tasks, mentor backend, frontend, and mobile developers, and lead incident response.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience and 2+ years leading an engineering team.
• Expertise in PHP 8 and the ability to work across PHP, TypeScript with Vue/Nuxt and React/Next.js, and Flutter.
• Strong database architecture skills with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Production experience with Docker, REST API integrations, and Stripe or a similar payment provider.
• Daily use of AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including experience writing agent instructions for a team.
• Native Russian, fluent English, and availability to work strictly on New York time (EST/EDT).

• Hands-on ProcessWire development.
• Flutter development and mobile app store releases.
• Subscription billing or fintech experience.
• CapRover, another Docker PaaS, or CI/CD experience.
