Senior Business Analyst, Analytics (Finance)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, United States; full-time position with general office functions and physical requirements.

What you will do

• Use advanced SQL to extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze large financial datasets.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, KPIs, dashboards, and recurring analyses.
• Reconcile data across the enterprise data warehouse, ERP, payment platforms, and other financial systems.
• Analyze sales, orders, payments, refunds, fees, receivables, payables, and other financial activity.
• Investigate transaction discrepancies, identify data quality issues, and trace records across multiple systems.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data Engineering, and Technology teams to improve and automate reporting and reconciliation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, finance, or accounting.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying, joining, validating, and analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with relational databases or cloud data warehouses.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, communication, and data investigation skills.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP or financial system data, AR, AP, GL, payment, settlement, or reconciliation data.
• Experience supporting Finance or Accounting reporting and analytics.
• Experience automating financial reporting or reconciliation processes.
• Experience with BigQuery, MicroStrategy, or Python.
• Familiarity with e-commerce or retail financial data, or an advanced degree in a related field.
