Test Engineer I (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; onsite work in an office, lab, hangar, or offsite environment.

Estimated starting salary: $71,338.47–$98,090.40 per year.

What you will do

• Assist with developing and executing test plans and procedures for aerospace and defense products.
• Perform basic testing and validation of components, systems, and subsystems.
• Record and analyze test data and prepare initial test-result reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify and satisfy test requirements.
• Maintain test equipment and verify calibration and functionality.
• Participate in internal and external technical meetings and briefings.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.
• 0–2+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
• Must have been an SNC Summer 2026 intern.
• Basic understanding of requirements, testing principles, methodologies, systems design, and systems integration.
• Exposure to planning, conducting, and documenting Verification and Validation activities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and meet applicable U.S. government trade-regulation eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Internship or project experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Experience with testing equipment, standards, manual or automated testing methodologies, and professional test documentation.
• Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and troubleshoot logically.
