Additive Manufacturing Technician II (3D Printing)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, at the Engine Development Center. A Shift follows a 4-10 schedule starting in November, with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts.

Hourly pay range: $25.38–$31.73 USD.

What you will do

• Prepare additive manufacturing print jobs and operate metal 3D printers using LPBF, DED, and hybrid technologies.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, optical laser, electrical, and build issues and calibrate printers in collaboration with Engineering.
• Inspect printed parts and builds using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, and other measurement tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance, post-print inspection, and post-processing inspection.
• Collaborate with Engineers on print setups, new hardware, process improvements, and issue resolution.
• Follow safety measures, work orders, procedures, specifications, and test instructions while maintaining the department’s internal 5S system.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or testing.
• Proficiency with hand, power, and pneumatic tools, including drills, chisels, and taps.
• Experience with inspection tools and methods, including surface plates, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Experience operating machine tools or equipment such as vertical mills, lathes, media blasters, cranes, or forklifts.
• High school diploma or GED.
• For U.S. office work, eligibility under ITAR regulations is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.
