Manufacturing Engineer (Additive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Operate and support polymer FDM and metal LPBF additive manufacturing systems onsite.
• Own build execution, including build-file preparation, machine setup, production troubleshooting, and failure resolution.
• Manage quality and compliance activities, including COCs, FAIR, NCR creation and dispositioning, and parts conformance.
• Develop work instructions and onsite standards for support removal, cleaning, inspection, and post-processing.
• Improve manufacturability through DfAM input and maintain build records to support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with applications engineering, quality, and operations teams based in other locations.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in additive manufacturing, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or applications engineering.
• Hands-on experience with LPBF and/or FDM systems, including materials, process parameters, machine operation, and failure modes.
• Experience with build troubleshooting, build-file preparation, engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance interpretation, and inspection planning.
• Ability to write work instructions, establish process standards, work independently, and deliver with remote leadership oversight.
• U.S. citizenship, nationality, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or required ITAR authorization is required.
