Company

hirify.global conducts pediatric cancer research using computational, genomic, molecular, and chemical biology approaches.

What you will do

  • Lead computational research projects on gene dysregulation, chromatin composition, and genome organization in pediatric cancers.
  • Design analyses and collaborate with multiple principal investigators and inter-institutional research teams.
  • Develop computational methods and analytical pipelines for genome-wide sequencing and multi-omic datasets.
  • Process, organize, interpret, review, and report research data, including directing data collection.
  • Present findings to internal and external audiences and prepare complex manuscripts with limited supervision.
  • Manage multiple interconnected projects while increasing research independence.

Requirements

  • PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, systems biology, genetics, genomics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Track record of scientific productivity, such as a first-author publication or a demonstrable contribution to a large project.
  • Experience with coding and quantitative analysis; candidates transitioning from wet-lab or clinical backgrounds may also be considered.
  • Experience with chromatin and gene-expression analysis technologies is desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative research across institutions and disciplines.
  • The initial appointment is for 1–2 years and may be renewed for up to 5 years depending on goals and qualifications.

Nice to have

  • Applied high-throughput sequencing analysis, including alignment, coverage quantification, differential coverage statistics, and multi-omic integration.
  • Experience with genomic analysis tools such as bedtools, samtools, HiCPro, and Tuxedo tools.
  • Experience managing large datasets on high-performance computing clusters.
  • Knowledge of transcription factors, enhancers, genome structure, and transcriptional condensates.
  • Experience creating clear figures using R.

Culture & Benefits

  • Access to high-performance computing clusters, cloud computing environments, visualization tools, and automated analytical pipelines.
  • Mentorship from faculty scientists experienced in data analysis, data management, and research delivery.
