Subcontracts Management Specialist II (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel for supplier and subcontractor meetings may be required.

Estimated starting salary: $64,853.15–$89,173.08 per year.

What you will do

• Develop compliant subcontract files, specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for specialized procurements.
• Prepare bid packages, establish evaluation criteria, and analyze subcontractor proposals against technical and financial requirements.
• Negotiate subcontract terms, pricing, and schedules to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Administer Firm Fixed Price and Time and Material subcontracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, maintain contract records, and recommend new subcontractors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of related experience; 6 years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Proficiency in subcontract management principles and methodologies.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, critical-thinking, data-entry, and document-review skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and work in an office or hybrid environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Advanced knowledge of procurement and subcontract management software.
• Supply chain management certification such as CPSM or CFCM.
