What you will do

• Conduct high-quality research in pure mathematics, particularly Analysis and Dynamical Systems, and publish the results in leading journals, books, or other appropriate outlets.
• Seek research grants and funding from relevant bodies.
• Attract and supervise postgraduate research students, research assistants, associates, and fellows.
• Deliver and enhance undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in pure mathematics.
• Participate in and organise departmental research events and activities.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent research experience in mathematics or a closely related discipline.
• Knowledge sufficient to develop and deliver lecture courses in pure mathematics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Strong, career-stage-appropriate record of original research in pure mathematics, especially Analysis and/or Dynamical Systems, supported by high-quality publications and appropriate esteem indicators.
• Evidence of potential for excellent teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Effective communication skills with staff, students, and external collaborators.
