Senior DevSecOps & Platform Engineering Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the DevSecOps and platform engineering ecosystem for a federal modernization program supporting a home loan benefit.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications, technology stacks, and environments, targeting builds, tests, and deployments in under an hour.
• Build zero-downtime release automation, infrastructure-as-code environments, observability, automated security gates, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
• Own production reliability, incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, performance management, and disaster recovery for 24/7 systems.
• Support the transition from a stable legacy platform to a Salesforce-centered modern cloud platform with serverless government-cloud capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and grow engineers while establishing engineering standards, metrics, and AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual work.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience designing and operating DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation for production systems across multiple stacks.
• Experience engineering in a regulated federal environment, including authorizations to operate, federal security controls, vulnerability remediation SLAs, and mandated tooling.
• Production ownership covering availability, incident response, root-cause analysis, reliability, and security engineering.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in daily engineering workflows, with sound judgment regarding security, privacy, data, and authorization boundaries.
• Direct technical leadership experience, including architecture decisions, code review, mentoring, and communication with customers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance; Secret clearance is not required.

Nice to have

• Salesforce or Copado pipeline experience.
• Government cloud, Splunk, or enterprise monitoring integration experience.
• Experience with authorization packages, POA&M management, Zero Trust initiatives, legacy decommissioning, or dual-stack transitions.
