Photonics Design and Test (Silicon Photonics)

Location: Remote - Greece; right to work in Greece required

Expected base pay: €2,125–€2,875 per month

What you will do

• Design, lay out, and test silicon photonic devices and subsystems.
• Run, maintain, service, and upgrade a die-level probe station for passive and active silicon photonics devices.
• Set up optical, electrical, and opto-electrical measurements for component characterization.
• Collect and analyze experimental data from photonics tests.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in photonics with more than 5 years of relevant industry experience, or a PhD in relevant photonic technologies.
• Experience designing passive and active silicon photonics components.
• Experience with photonic and opto-electronic simulation tools such as Lumerical, Photon Design, RSoft, or VPI.
• Experience with physical design and layout tools such as Cadence or Mentor.
• Experience with photonics test platforms, related software and hardware development, and large-dataset analysis using JMP, DataConductor, or similar tools.
• EU citizenship or an existing visa/work permit in Greece is required.
