Software Engineering Manager (Observability)

Location: Brno, Czech Republic. Hybrid 3+2 schedule with a minimum of three office days per week, including mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and up to two home-office days.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a software engineering team through clear goals, feedback, and career development.
• Guide adoption of AI across the development lifecycle, including AI-assisted coding and agent-driven, specification-first delivery.
• Partner with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to plan and deliver software for the Observability Self-Hosted product.
• Provide technical guidance across software design, development, testing, and delivery.
• Manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and team capacity to support predictable execution.
• Improve software quality, security, reliability, maintainability, incident response, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience managing or leading software engineering teams.
• Experience delivering software products through the full development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, AI-assisted development, Agile methodologies, and technical delivery.
• Ability to provide effective technical guidance while empowering engineers to own solutions.
• Strong collaboration, communication, prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
