TL;DR
Application Engineer (HVAC): Designing and modeling HVAC systems for building projects with an accent on cooling load calculations, equipment selection, controls integration, and energy-code compliance. Focus on developing technical specifications, proposing value engineering solutions, supporting tenders, and resolving project RFIs.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; on-site five days per week

What you will do

  • Build relationships with M&E consultants and design institutes, organize technical seminars, and introduce HVAC solutions.
  • Review project drawings, develop HVAC concepts, and perform cooling load calculations and energy modeling using TRACE 700 and TRACE 3D Plus.
  • Select configurations for chillers, airside systems, VRF, and DX equipment, and integrate them with building management and chiller plant controls.
  • Prepare product specifications for tender documents and develop value engineering solutions to defend specifications against competitors.
  • Track projects from early design through tender, hand over technical data to Sales, and support bids, RFIs, and clarification meetings.
  • Ensure designs comply with QCVN 09:2017, ASHRAE, and AHRI standards.

Requirements

  • Experience with HVAC system design, equipment selection, and project documentation.
  • Ability to perform cooling load calculations and energy modeling with TRACE 700 or TRACE 3D Plus.
  • Knowledge of BMS and chiller plant controls integration.
  • Understanding of QCVN 09:2017, ASHRAE, and AHRI standards.
  • Availability to work on-site in Ho Chi Minh City five days per week.
