TL;DR
Senior Systems Engineer (Go/Kubernetes): Supporting highly available, secure, and scalable regulatory platforms across the full technology lifecycle with an accent on Linux, infrastructure engineering, and on-premises cloud-native technologies. Focus on designing and operating critical systems, security risk assessment, automation, and collaboration with government, law enforcement, vendor, and internal stakeholders.
Location: NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or from home

What you will do
- Deliver end-to-end technical solutions across development, infrastructure, operations, and the broader technology lifecycle.
- Build and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable systems supporting critical regulatory platforms.
- Work with internal teams, vendors, government agencies, and law enforcement stakeholders on solution delivery and operations.
- Participate in security risk assessments and maintain security architecture for regulated environments.
- Improve engineering practices through automation, modern tooling, and evolving technologies.
Requirements
- Australian citizenship and an Australian Government security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one, are required.
- Experience with full-stack, end-to-end systems design and engineering, including infrastructure build and operation.
- Strong Linux experience, plus virtualization with Proxmox and Kubernetes with Rancher.
- Software development experience with Go; familiarity with Rust and willingness to develop further are essential. Python is desirable.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, SDLC, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and cloud-native patterns in fully on-premises environments.
- Datacenter experience with server, network, and storage equipment, along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to have
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Cybersecurity certifications.
- Python development experience.
