Software Engineer (Open-Source Platforms): Building and operating a platform that provisions infrastructure, deploys open-source applications, and keeps distributed application servers reliable at scale with an accent on end-to-end software delivery, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining production systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP while solving complex distributed computing problems.
Location: Canberra or Melbourne, Australia; office attendance required at least 3–4 days per week

What you will do
- Build, maintain, and enhance the open-source application platform across the full application lifecycle.
- Provision infrastructure, install applications, and keep distributed application servers running reliably in production.
- Own requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with software development, operations, and product teams to solve complex technical problems.
- Apply DevOps practices as part of a global team operating 24/7.
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in software engineering or computer science.
- 2–5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, and at least one other modern programming language.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- Must have the right to work in Australia.
- Must be able to work from the Canberra or Melbourne office at least 3–4 days per week.
