Senior Software Engineer, AI Tooling (Information Security)

Location: Melbourne or Sydney, Australia

What you will do

• Lead the development of AI tools and internal applications from inception through implementation.
• Build ad-hoc tools supporting incident response, threat hunting, remediation, and security scanning.
• Build, monitor, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, serverless workloads, ETL pipelines, and terabyte-scale log infrastructure.
• Work with engineers to identify automation and internal tooling opportunities.
• Partner with product engineering teams on security automation, patching, gateways, and risk reduction services.
• Mentor and support the growth of other Software Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience and experience with production codebases.
• Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python, and one systems programming language, such as Golang or C/C++.
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, serverless workloads, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work autonomously, deliver projects on time and to a high standard, and solve complex problems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
