Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform)

What you will do

• Design and develop software for new product initiatives and features.
• Participate in architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Build scalable full-stack components for cloud-based data and analysis platforms.
• Develop clean, performant, documented, and well-tested code, including unit tests, scripts, and test harnesses.
• Improve customer experience and code quality while collaborating in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable applications.
• Strong full-stack development skills, including excellent Java development and debugging experience.
• Experience with Angular or React and a deep understanding of data architecture and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with distributed storage and SQL or NoSQL database systems, plus scalable real-time REST services.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Interest in human biology and genetics.
• Willingness to teach others and learn new techniques.
