Senior Data Analyst (Telecommunications)

What you will do

• Partner with finance, billing, audit, process excellence, and business optimization stakeholders to define data requirements and analytical solutions.
• Extract, integrate, validate, and analyze financial, statistical, billing, and other enterprise data sources.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, analytical models, scalable datasets, feature stores, and reusable analytical assets using BigQuery, Python, and related technologies.
• Build and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business and executive decision-making.
• Reconcile data across systems, identify data quality issues, and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Support data engineering, reporting, data warehouse, and data mart migration initiatives while improving analytics processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting, finance, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience developing scalable datasets, reporting solutions, and analytical insights in a business environment.
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, and large-scale data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouses.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with advanced experience using Google BigQuery or comparable analytical databases.
• Experience with relational database design, data modeling, query optimization, APIs, ETL/ELT, data integration, reporting, and dashboards.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, data quality, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Telecommunications industry experience, including telecom billing systems.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, BRIM, RAR, other SAP or ERP systems, and data governance frameworks.
• Experience with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, enterprise reporting, financial analytics, or executive dashboards.
• Professional certifications in Google Cloud Platform, data analytics, or related technologies.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
