Senior Security Enablement Engineer (SaaS)

Location: Fully remote in Ireland, Northern Ireland or the UK

What you will do

• Own security engineering outcomes and act as a subject matter expert across product and engineering teams.
• Build security tooling and reusable secure-by-default practices across CI/CD pipelines, AWS, code review workflows and the developer experience.
• Identify security knowledge and capability gaps through threat modelling, documentation, pairing and coaching.
• Embed with product teams during design, architecture review and pre-launch activities to guide complex security decisions.
• Assess emerging risks, develop security requirements for the AWS-hosted multi-tenant SaaS environment, and contribute to the security roadmap.
• Monitor security signals, participate in the on-call rota, and support incident response from triage and containment through remediation tracking.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on secure development experience, including production coding experience.
• Deep experience in security engineering or application security and the ability to handle complex security challenges.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS security, IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF and related services.
• Knowledge of common vulnerability classes, OWASP and secure SDLC frameworks.
• Experience with SaaS and multi-tenant architectures, strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with engineering teams.
• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate security work while applying sound human judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments or regulated SaaS environments, including PCI DSS, GDPR or HIPAA.
• Familiarity with Team Topologies or platform and enabling-team models.
• Experience with penetration testing, red teaming, bug bounty programmes, or security champion programmes.
