What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 4–8 library engineers.
• Own team delivery and productivity, including planning, milestones, and reviews.
• Collaborate with Product teams to expand platform capabilities and deliver open-source, zero-touch APM instrumentation.
• Guide SDK architecture, APIs, data models, protocols, quality, and scalability across nine supported languages.
• Contribute code when needed and maintain strong technical standards.
• Build alignment across language teams, Product, and Backend while shaping team identity and culture.

Requirements

• Experience as an Engineering Manager with a track record of shipping software.
• Strong, empathetic leadership skills and experience building high-performing engineering teams.
• Ability to move between high-level product direction and detailed technical implementation.
• Significant programming experience with one or more of Go, C, or Rust.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Lisbon, Portugal office environment.
