Chief Financial Officer (Fintech)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the Dublin office

Owl Payments Europe Limited is a Central Bank of Ireland-authorised Payment Institution supporting the hirify.global marketplace across the European Economic Area.

What you will do

• Lead the finance function and oversee financial and regulatory reporting for Owl Payments Europe Limited.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, management accounts, statutory financial statements, and Central Bank regulatory returns.
• Oversee financial controls, tax, external audit, intercompany accounting, cost allocations, capital, liquidity, and cash management.
• Maintain oversight of the safeguarding framework, review safeguarding reconciliations, and escalate discrepancies or shortfalls.
• Own the governance and control framework for CESOP reporting and present financial and regulatory information to the Board, Executive Committee, and Risk and Compliance Committee.
• Manage relationships with the Central Bank of Ireland, auditors, advisers, service providers, and hirify.global Finance and Accounting.

Requirements

• Previous experience as PCF-11 Head of Finance and/or PCF-56 Head of Safeguarding within a Central Bank of Ireland-authorised Payment Institution or Electronic Money Institution.
• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Significant senior finance experience within a regulated financial-services firm.
• Strong experience in statutory and management reporting, audit, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, tax, regulatory reporting, capital, and liquidity.
• Practical safeguarding experience within a regulated Payment Institution or Electronic Money Institution.
• Capacity to obtain and retain Central Bank approval for PCF-11 and PCF-56, with strong communication skills for engaging regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
