Senior Staff Engineer Linux - C/C++ (Prisma Access)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; most teams work from the office full time.

Salary: $134,600–$217,800 annually, with potential stock units and bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the development, maintenance, and advancement of the Prisma Access secure Linux client and agent.
• Collaborate with product management on strategic endpoint capability roadmaps and agent integration.
• Design scalable system architectures and resolve production issues affecting user experience.
• Integrate AI-driven technologies to improve client performance, security telemetry, and intelligent threat response.
• Mentor and coach engineers while collaborating across multiple teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience focused on Linux.
• 2+ years of hands-on Linux systems programming experience, including Linux kernel internals and system-level programming.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills on Linux.
• Experience with RHEL, Ubuntu, Fedora, and other Linux distributions.
• Knowledge of Linux networking protocols and troubleshooting tools.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
