Actuarial Analyst (Personal Lines Insurance)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States; primarily in the office

What you will do

• Work with underwriting teams to develop, execute, and monitor pricing and underwriting strategies.
• Complete profitability studies for assigned programs and present findings to business partners.
• Engage with MGA underwriters and actuaries on program analysis and pricing activities.
• Support new product development, rate and KPI monitoring, rate filings, and filing-related activities.
• Produce recurring reports and maintain pricing models, raters, and other analytical tools.
• Use SQL, Python, VBA, R, Tableau, and Power BI for actuarial analysis and data visualization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computational Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience with personal lines of insurance.
• At least two Casualty Actuarial Society exams completed.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, and R.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI and actuarial pricing tools.
