Data Analyst III Healthcare Analytics, Medical Economics

Location: Remote in Florida, United States. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $70,100.00–$126,200.00 per year

What you will do

• Analyze claims, provider, member, and encounter data to identify trends, business impact, and opportunities to reduce the cost of care.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex scripts and reports using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and other analytics tools.
• Plan and execute large-scale analytics projects, process enhancements, and automation initiatives with limited direction.
• Investigate data irregularities through root-cause analysis and present findings, recommendations, and data-driven insights.
• Gather requirements, validate results, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across business functions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management, or at least 2 years of IT experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL or other querying languages.
• Experience with quantitative analysis, data mining, data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship; sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and healthcare analytics experience.
• Knowledge of Python, R, and Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience with financial modeling, claims pricing, contract or network analysis, ROI evaluation, utilization management, provider or vendor contracts, and risk adjustment.
