Loads and Dynamics Analyst (Aerospace)

Location: Dallas, Texas or Washington, D.C.; on-site

Salary: $145,000–$220,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Develop aerodynamic and structural load envelopes for the full aircraft lifecycle, from clean-sheet design through flight testing.
• Lead maneuver, gust, landing, and ground-load analyses covering quasi-static and dynamic cases.
• Coordinate with GNC, aero, structural design, and test engineering teams to define and validate mission- and control-related load cases.
• Develop and validate loads models using FEMAP, NASTRAN, MATLAB, Python, and Simulink.
• Support structural sizing, load mapping, V-n diagrams, aeroelastic stability assessments, and checks for divergence and control reversal.
• Prepare traceable loads documentation, support instrumentation and strain-gauge planning, correlate flight data, and improve loads-generation automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience performing aircraft loads and aeroelastic analysis for manned or unmanned aircraft.
• Proficiency with FEMAP, NASTRAN, MATLAB, or comparable simulation environments.
• Strong understanding of aircraft flight envelopes, control-surface effects, and structural load paths.
• Experience supporting both aircraft design and test phases with accurate load predictions.
• Ability to obtain a S//SAR-level security clearance is desired; cleared background checks may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with UAV, eVTOL, or tactical military platforms.
• Familiarity with MIL-A-8860, FAR Part 23/25, or similar certification standards.
• Knowledge of aeroelastic stability, load alleviation, and adaptive control.
• Experience developing internal tools or automation for loads generation and reporting.
• Active or previous DoD clearance.
