Electrical Engineer (PLC Automation)

Location: Grafton, Wisconsin, USA. Onsite role with occasional domestic and international travel, typically 10–20% and less than 15% for customer machine or line startup.

What you will do

• Create electrical bills of material, electrical drawings, and panel layout assembly diagrams for packaging machines.
• Validate final design documentation and parts lists, and support user manual details.
• Review customer specifications and develop internal and external customer relationships around proposed solutions.
• Write or modify PLC and HMI code, and troubleshoot electrical and software automation issues.
• Provide construction, power-up, machine testing, and customer Factory Acceptance Test support.
• Collaborate with Sales, Mechanical Engineering, Production, and Service on projects and product meetings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or an associate degree with equivalent experience.
• Experience with communications networks and Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Ability to design in a UL508A compliance environment and knowledge of North American electrical standards for equipment manufacturing.
• Ability to travel 10–20% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
