TL;DR
Senior .NET Backend Developer (AI): Building scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services and RESTful APIs with an accent on modern .NET, event-driven integrations, database optimization, and AI-assisted development. Focus on designing distributed systems, implementing authentication and observability, validating AI-generated code, and solving production reliability challenges.
Location: Brazil; remote home office

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using C# and .NET 8+.
- Build event-driven and asynchronous integrations with Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalent messaging platforms.
- Model and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases with Entity Framework Core, and use MongoDB when needed.
- Implement OAuth2/OIDC and JWT authentication and authorization, automated unit and integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Instrument services with structured logging, metrics, and tracing, and help diagnose production issues.
- Participate in code reviews, technical refinement, estimation, stakeholder collaboration, and mentoring of less experienced developers.
Requirements
- Solid professional experience with C#, .NET, and production-grade RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID, design patterns, and Clean Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with MediatR, AutoMapper, Entity Framework Core, relational databases, distributed systems, and messaging.
- Practical use of AI tools for code generation, testing, and refactoring, plus experience with autonomous or semi-autonomous software development agents or prompt engineering.
- Experience with automated testing, Docker, Git, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and observability tools.
- Good spoken and written English at upper-intermediate level or above; candidates should be based in Brazil.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of CQRS and Domain-Driven Design.
- MongoDB document modeling and aggregation experience.
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
- Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue and API integration.
- Experience with Node, Python, or Java in polyglot environments.
