Technology Risk and Assurance Lead

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; full-time onsite at 8505 IBM Drive, five days per week. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $155,400–$233,200 USD annually

What you will do

• Activate validated data, technology, and workforce risks into structured remediation or formal risk acceptance pathways.
• Develop and align remediation, compensating-control, and acceptance responses for data governance, data quality, access, entitlement, and workforce control gaps.
• Validate control evidence and enforce assurance gates before risk closure.
• Assess and maintain clear residual risk positions and reporting.
• Lead complex risk remediation initiatives and influence stakeholders across cybersecurity, technology, risk management, audit, data governance, and business functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity is desired.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience assessing, managing, and driving remediation of cybersecurity, technology, data governance, or operational risks.
• Experience developing and executing risk treatment and risk acceptance strategies.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, access and entitlement management, control frameworks, and assurance practices.
• Familiarity with applying AI or ML techniques in cybersecurity, including anomaly detection, threat hunting, behavioral analytics, or risk scoring.
