New Product Development Engineer - Data Center Cable (Wire and Cable Product Development): Developing, qualifying, and commercializing innovative cable products with an accent on prototype development, laboratory testing, certification, and manufacturing trials. Focus on analyzing experimental data, applying statistical and root-cause methods, and coordinating cross-functional work to meet performance, compliance, manufacturability, and cost objectives.

What you will do
- Design and develop new cable products, materials, and component technologies.
- Support the full product development lifecycle from concept development and design calculations through prototyping, qualification, certification, industrialization, and launch.
- Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory experiments while maintaining ISO 17025 testing practices.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering specifications, drawings, qualification summaries, and test plans.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on plant trials, product improvement, cost reduction, and process performance.
- Support UL, CSA, ICEA, IEEE, ASTM, and other certification and compliance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze test data and translate results into engineering recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Experience with structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, statistical methods, or design of experiments.
Nice to have
- Experience in wire and cable, polymers, extrusion, materials engineering, or industrial manufacturing.
- Knowledge of UL, CSA, ICEA, IEEE, ASTM, ISO, RoHS, and related standards.
- Experience with prototype builds, manufacturing trials, product qualification programs, laboratory testing, or certification processes.
- Working knowledge of engineering change management and product lifecycle processes.
